What I discovered is the following:
1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud...
If you have some tie to the christian community, then you would have already known that this is one of the most quoted passages in the Bible.
But what does it mean to be patient and kind?

In logical point of view, I think "patient & kind" can be developed through a lengthy process of learning and understanding of your partner's personality and family/career background. In christians' point of view, "we love because He first love us." 1 John 4:19. Ha...that's a famous scripture most brides and grooms use on their wedding brochure. :)
U will understand what is patient and kind when u're in a relationship. And often times, will feel we need them but are lack of them. It's life long learning.
I agree with clara! Patience can be developed. And people interpret "kindness" differently... some view it as providing the other person with material things they desire or need. Others think respect for the other person's space is kindness. Or just being there and watching the other person cry when they are sad can ALSO be considered kindness. :p Learning what your partner considers kindness IS important!
So patient is utilized to understand the other person, and I need to express kindness in the appropriate way.
Clara: I think God has no trouble understanding us because He made us! :) The most amazing thing is that He loves us, despite our shortcoming and despicable thoughts.
Wai: It sounds extremely long to learn something like that! :P
Mila: I see what you mean ;)
